Zanzibar tour

 

Known as the “Spice Island”, Zanzibar is 23 miles (34 km) east of the Tanzanian coast in the Indian Ocean.  It was once the main trading center for all of East Africa and other Indian Ocean countries.  Tourists are drawn here by the warm tropical beaches and exotic, tranquil lifestyle reminiscent of earlier times. Tanzania’s whimsical Tinga Tinga art originated in Zanzibar.

 

Day 1
Fly from Arusha to Zanzibar.  Arrive in Zanzibar Airport and you will be picked by our driver guide and transferred to the hotel - stay overnight at Chavda or Tembo hotel - BB www.chavdahotel.co.tz or www.tembohotel.com

 

Day 2
Morning historical Stone town tour of slave market, house of wonder, palace museum, prison island tour and shopping stay overnight at Chavda or Tembo hotel-BB

 

Day 3
Spice tour on the way to northern coast beaches, stay overnight at the Zanzibari lodge, Amani or Nungwi bungalows on full-board basis. www.thezanzibari.com
 

Day4
Full day on the beach, stay overnight at the Zanzibari lodge on Full board basis.

 

Day 5
Morning at the beach then transferred to Stone Town-fly from ZNZ to Dar or Kilimanjaro airport for e.g., fly at night flight.

Option to extend your Zanzibar tour.
