Who Do We Teach at the EHC?

In Tanzania, a country where agriculture contributes towards 28 percent of the GDP and 73 percent of the population lives in the rural areas, there are about 3.7 million small-scale subsistence farmers (SSFs) with less than 2 hectares (~5 acres), which make up for 80 percent of total farms.  They have no funds to buy equipment, seeds, fertilizer or livestock. They cook with wood and own one or two cows and goats. They have poor sanitation facilities. They struggle to survive and cannot improve their situation.
